PepperSmack has taken fresh orange and yellow habañero chiles, hand-picked by our home chefs, sliced them and then pickled them in a succulent semi-sweet brine. Result? A hot pickled pepper that packs a wallop of heat with a wisp of fruitiness and great flavor.

Or simply eat these tasty, pickled peppers by themselves. As a heat or flavor booster in dishes both hot and cold, the tangy bite of our Chiles Habañeros will be just the condiment you need. But beware. Our pickled peppers are hot!!

The lantern shaped habañero (which means "from Havana") was listed in the 1999 Guinness Book of World Records as the world's hottest chile. While it has since been displaced by a number of other peppers, this one time champion still packs a punch, measuring between 150,000 - 325,000 Scovile heat units, an estimated 12 to 40 times hotter than the jalapeño. But there's more to the habañero than just its fierce, intense heat. Behind the heat is a wonderfully distinctive, pungent, and fruity flavor that makes these chiles a delicious way to spark up any dish.

Note: There are no nasty preservatives in our product; vinegar is the only preservative in the recipe. These pickled peppers will stay crisp and fresh for up to a year. Refrigeration recommended after opening. Note also that the flavor of these pickled peppers gets better and better over time.
