Spaghetti

Smack-It Dude’s Special Spaghetti

(Plant based, No fat - Esselstyn - option)

Ingredients:

1 pound of pasta (whole grain or normal)
2 pounds lean ground beef or 1 package Lightlife Smart Ground
2 tablespoons of oil or 1/4 cup vegetable broth
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 large yellow onion chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1 can diced tomatoes
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon chili powder
4 shots Worcestershire sauce
smack of PepperSmack™ pepper paste or use any of the PepperSmack™ flakes or dusts (size of smack depends on heat tolerance)
parmesan cheese or cheese substitute (see recipe)

Directions:

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti pasta until done. Toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and set aside.  Meanwhile place ground beef in skillet and brown until done.  Drain onto paper towels. Place oil in same skillet as beef and cook bell pepper, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper until the onion and bell pepper are translucent and cooked down to about half their size.  Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute more.  Add beef, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and chili powder to onions and bell peppers.  Cook on low for 15 minutes.  Add diced tomatoes and bay leaves.  Cook on low for an additional 15 minutes.  Test salt and pepper and add as needed.  Add the sauce to the spaghetti or place spaghetti on plate which sauce on top.  When served, add smack of  PepperSmack™ pepper paste or use any of the PepperSmack™ flakes or dusts (size of smack depends on heat tolerance) on top or on plate.  Then add parmesan cheese or cheese substitute and chopped parsley (optional) sprinkled on top of spaghetti sauce mixture.
